A feature length documentary chronicling England’s 2019 World Cup triumph, created and
written by Simon Hughes and directed and co-written by Ashley Gething. It begins the story
with England’s 2015 World Cup disaster, follows their reinvention under Eoin Morgan –
delving into the backgrounds and family histories of many of the key players – monitors
their ups and downs through the four-year cycle, building to the tremendous climax and
unprecedented drama of the 2019 World Cup final. It is a true celebration of one of
England’s greatest sporting achievements and Stephen Fry called it “the greatest
documentary about an individual sporting event I have ever seen.”
